Derby - 02/20/17

Derby is a city and unitary authority area in Derbyshire, England. Approximately 248.7 thousand people lived in Derby in 2011. Derby is a center for specialized manufacturing, home to the world's second largest plane engine manufacturer, Rolls-Royce, and Derby Litchurch Lane Works, for many years UK's only train manufacturer. That is what Derby is mostly known for. Derby was the birth place of Herbert Spencer, a philosopher known for the ideas of "Social Darwinism" and "Survival of The Fittest". Derby got a city status in the 1970s by a declaration of Queen Elizabeth II on her 25th year of her ascension to the throne.
