Chester - 02/11/17

Chester is a walled city, meaning that it is surrounded by a defensive wall. It is one of the best preserved walled cities in Britain, with a population of 81,340. The city of Chester is known for it's walkways called Chester Rows, which is a unique organization of comercial and domestic buildings,  containing underground shops (known as crypts), street level stores and up to several upper row floors. After visiting the walls, we went to the three most prominent buildings in the city centre; the town hall, the Cathedral and Chester Castle

Together we walked 69.9 miles in three days

After a small stop at Chester Cathedral we walked 3 more miles, finally stopping in the middle of Warrington Road

Chester Cathedral

''The city of Chester is known for it's walkways called Chester Rows, which is a unique organization of comercial and domestic buildings'' Our walk has been great, the people of Chester are very welcoming and supportive. The unique sight of the Chester Rows makes the guild relax.
