Preston - 02/13/17

Preston is a city and the administrative centre of Lancashire, England. It's name is derived from the Old English, meaning "priest's town","Prestune". Preston is a city full of ups and downs, only acquiring a city status in 2002. Most of the transport in the city is made by bus although Preston railway station was opened in 1838 and provides many railway lines. Preston was the first english town outside London to be lit by gas.
Instead of catching the bus, we go walking by the Preston Guild roads known as the Guild wheel which encircles the whole city, seeing all the city has to offer. Preston Guild is now an event which happens every 20 years , the next one is in 2032.

We arrive in Preston after a 20 mile walk

This is the scope of our current trip -There are still many places we could still explore only in this frame! how disconcerting!
